Modified Magic 5k

This 5k route at the Mt. Spokane State Park Nordic ski trails is adapted from the Mountain Magic Trail Run's 5k route to stay within the inner trails.

Modified Magic 10k

This 10k  trail at the Mt. Spokane State Park Nordic ski trails is adapted from portions of the Mountain Magic Trail Run's 5k and 15k routes to stay within the inner trails.

Modified Magic 25k

Yes, you can complete a 25k on the inner trails of Mt. Spokane's Nordic ski trails. Just run the 5k, then the 10k, then the 10k backwards! It's a whole new view and challenge from the opposite direction.

Liberty Lake Loop Trail 25k (or 13.5k)

The Liberty Lake Loop Trail is a challenging and gorgeous 8+ mile trek that starts with a common in/out trail before splitting into an approximately 6-mile loop. Take the loop in one direction, then when you get back to the split, turn around and do the loop in reverse before returning down the in/out trail. This is one for the bold, brave and possibly foolhardy! Bring water and calories, and take home bragging rights. Alternately, 8 miles is 13.3k, a worthy achievement of its own on a steep course.

James T. Slavin 5k

The Slavin Conservation Area's rolling terrain and patches of woodlands around a set of natural reservoirs make for spectacular running or hiking, or even mountain biking. Even if you get off-course, you'll have a rewarding time. Suggested direction is clockwise. From the parking lot, head left at the first fork and then left on a small off-shoot path a few hundred feet after you enter the trees.

James T. Slavin 10k

The Slavin Conservation Area's rolling terrain and patches of woodlands around a set of natural reservoirs make for spectacular running or hiking, or even mountain biking. Even if you get off-course, you'll have a rewarding time. Note the long out-and-back along the west side of the large reservoir. Suggested direction is clockwise. From the parking lot, head left at the first fork and then left on a small off-shoot path a few hundred feet after you enter the trees.

James T. Slavin 25k

You can run a 25k in the Slavin area by doing two 10k loops with a 5k loop in between (you can stop for supplies and an outhouse break between each loop). Like mentioned above, it's suggested you do all loops clockwise; but if you can find your way counter-clockwise for one or more of the loops, you're a braver navigator than I.
